Mike Brown receives TNM CORRAL 12

Postby TerryTNM » Tue Mar 20, 2012 7:33 am

This is the 3rd instrument I've made in the Corral Series but the 1st 12 string ever.
Featuring a knotty Alder carved top, African mahogany chambered body and Honduran mahogany neck with a 24 5/8 scale Rosewood fingerboard. Headcap, pickguard and sleeve guard made from Bloodwood. It has TV Jones 'T-Armond' pickups. Mike also has the #11 Maphis doubleneck. I thank him kindly.
Thanks for looking -Terry

Nice to see it completed Terry! Another awesome TNM one of a kind. Looks like it belongs in a Caddy on the way to a roadhouse gig!!

Beautiful work, Terry. You're my kind of guitar maker. The more exotic the thing looks, the more I love it. I've seen knotty alder used in cabinet and carpentry work and loved the look. It never crossed my mind to use it on a guitar. Very beautiful...
How dare you presume to inject, using reproducible facts and rational thought, an on-topic discussion into a thread that had degenerated from sarcasm, personal invective, and hand-waving arguments?

That is freakin' KILLER!! I love the bolo-tie slider on the tailpiece. Back in my road days in the '70's, I'd buy bolo ties whenever we'd get to the Southwest. I still have a few of them--one of the show bands I was in even let me wear one instead of a bow tie with my tux!

Terry, what a beauty! I'm always impressed with the skill and craftsmanship of your builds. And I still can't believe the quality of the inlay work.
