The Infamez

Postby Olav » Sat Oct 08, 2011 6:19 am

Or Overhaulin' as I've called it elsewhere.
A recipe for brewing a sizzlin' hot guitar from basic ingredients. Our Chef today is Maitre Oigun.

The ingredients are;

-1 bland looking, though nice playing MiC hollowbody guitar
-1 gallon (or thereabouts) of epoxy primer
-several rattle cans of white, yellow, orange and red budget store paint
-a set of HotRod Filtertrons (you'll have some just lying around won't you?)
-1 Bigsby B7 tremolo
-1 wonky but cool looking 'roller' bridge
-1 500K audio pot
-1 500K blender pot

We'll also need;

-enormous amounts of patience on both the modders side as on the clients side
-a couple miles of sanding belt
-1 Argentinian bought decal printer
-enough space in our mailbox to house a family of elephants
-1 straight jacket

Make sure every item is handy, preheat the oven on 200 degrees C (that's level 6 for all you gas oven afficinados)

Don't change your channel, we'll be back after these commercials...

I feel I need to make a small but significant change in the 'Needed' list. I stated; "1 Straightjacket". This should read; "At least 2 Straightjackets".
Thought I'd make that clear before we begin (the beguine).

Step one;

Buy a bland looking, nice playing MiC hollowbody guitar such as this;

Step two; sand the HEdouble hockeysticks out of the puke burst that it comes with. This will require about a mile and a half of sanding belt and eat about as much power as a mid sized cities street light will consume in a year.

Pictures of this step were lost when the modder got institutionalized for a short period.

Step three: apply wagonloads of epoxy primer on the newly sanded body and spray a basic black on it.

No animals were hurt in the process.

Step 3 and then some; apply yards and yards of maskingtape to the body and shoot three colors of budget store rattle can paint.

Like this;
