Sarah, driving in to the office this morning, I saw a Toyota Prius and it seems that they stole your blue "S"-shape on a pale background for their Hybrid Synergy Drive product logo.

Since you work for patent attorneys, you can take them for all they're worth. I want 10% as a finder's fee.

Progress report.

I'm finished cutting out all of the pieces for the fret markers and there are a bunch of them. There pretty close to being finished but I may remake a couple little pieces. I need to get a magnifying head piece so I can really see what I'm doing. This weekend I'm going to take a try at removing the old fretboard. I need to buy a couple of dremel bits so I can start cutting the new fretboard for the inlays, as well as the headstock. So, here 'tis!

Nice idea for the 12th fret marker! This is going to be one pretty guitar when you're done with it. Are you planning for it to be a keeper?

Thank you! Yes, I'm making this one for me. It's something I've wanted to do for 3-4 years. I'm learning a lot from this project. :D

Another little update.

Spending two weeks with a tiny little saw cutting tiny little parts made me a tiny little bit tired! I took the weekend off and we worked on our sailboat. It is almost sailing time around here! We're recovering all of our cushions. What a job that is!

So, I thought I'd see how I like the headstock in white instead of black, with the new logo. Then I decided to add a little flare to it, being a Streamliner and my name is Sarah. So, I put a big S on it. I want to paint the guitar white anyway, once I figure out how to accomplish that, so I taped some white paper to the headstock for a sneak peek.

Here it tis!

*Yeah I know the letters are all crooked, but the paper is slippery and I'm two tired to be a perfectionist!
