Here are a few pics of a Thinline type Tele that I did for another forums contest. This is my second build (first actually completed with wiring!) and I think it turned out pretty good. It is all maple body, with flamed maple cap and faux binding. Maple neck and a Paduk fretboard. It has two P90's that I picked up off the bay for under $20 total. The tuners are cheap, but they work! The sunburst was done with water based analine dyes and it was hand rubbed. I then finished it with Truoil, neck and body. Hope you like it.

Thanks...I was quite impressed on how the faux binding came out.

Nice job! It's a great feeling to complete all that detail work, string it up and play it for the first time. I try to build one a year, incorporating some new idea that I want to try out...

This is my second build, but the first with the electronics done...so when I become a famous builder, it will be a trick question! But let me tell you, as soon as I plugged her in and I strummed my first power chord....I was grinning ear to ear

I would like to do a few a year if I could as well. My first was pretty much your standard solid body, my second was hollowed out...I want to do a top carve on my next build, I figure a Mosrite clone would be a good place to start. Plus they look really cool!
