I'm currently trying to sell my marshall jcm900 and two cabinets due to lack of room in my house and wanting to buy a vintage Fender amp like a showman, bassman or bandmaster thought about the tremolux as well. I had a Dual Showman years ago with a gain mod. Any one have pics to assuage my gas?

Here's my '65 Bandmaster that I purchased new in Stuttgart Germany. I still have the original brochures that came with it. I recently had to go through it and replace the electrolytics. It has the European voltage selectable transformer. It is now being put back to use in a newly organized instrumental surf band I'm playing with. The rhythm guitar player is looking for a mate to mine if anyone has one for sale regardless of condition.

Uh-oh! Maybe when the next brass rail shows up and I need some money? I tend to used the Bandmaster Reverb more often, well, 'cause it has reverb, and trem.

The Weber kits do not have any type of instructions. Unless you are familiar with electronics, you'll need to give yourself and education on electronics and understand what makes what tick. Plus there's the major danger of high voltage, learning what will kill you and how to stay safe. Soldering components to a circuit board is the simple part. Gerald Weber, no relation to Weber amps, has three excellent books plus a four hour DVD that is like an electronics mini course. I used this reference material and built the Weber 5E3 Tweed Deluxe kit and also scratch built my out board reverb unit from the knowledge learned from Gerald Weber's information. I have since worked on several amps resurrected from the dead. Research money well spent. Unless you are ready to go that route, I'd recommend finding a used amp in good working condition.

I worked as a repair/warranty manager for a music store back east but since I've been in different trades since then but still retained some knowledge from that job. So I wouldn't be going into it totally blind but I could go for a refresher course in electronics. Is there a link to that DVD Danny?
