Hey, gplayer--

That must be a wonderful sounding guitar. Although my sole remaining Martin is a rosewood back-and-sides model, I much prefer mahogany.

My favorite Martin in the world-- an 0-18 from 1953-- was adirondack spruce topped with mahogany back and sides, and was the lightest, most responsive acoustic I have ever owned. Last month I gave it to my best buddy from high school to encourage him as he went through a medical crisis, and it seems to have really made a difference.

Music indeed makes the world a better place!
