(Actually, a few years back I wrote to Fender with my wacky idea about glowing dot markers...but I guess it was too wacky cuz I've never had any reply from them...or even been rewarded a free Strat  ...
To my utter amazement I discovered that there is such a guitar...and not just any...

It's up for auction and I won't mention the price but you can check it here... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fender-Stratocast ... 4cee196788

Cool Strat Veenture. I'm looking at that wondering how they got the wiring inside the neck? Maybe they removed the fretboard, did a little routing, installed the wiring, and reinstalled the fretboard with the wiring coming out the end of the neck and extending into the body where a battery resides?

I don't have a way to slice off my fretboard or I just might try something like that ;).

Hey Paul!! Just "How Many Few" years back in which you had written to FENDER with 'your wacky idea' ??? The ONLY REASON I'm asking is that
Fender DID capitalize on just such a wacky idea (you had posted this) with 'glowing dot markers' for the "Hank Marvin Model" back in '04  ...

I'll PM you....
make the Mos' of it, choose the 'rite stuff.

Good grief Adam, there really is nothing new under the sun. Good find!

Dennis, I wrote to them after 2004…and no, Fender never did respond…not even by sending me a free guitar pick

I reckon I’ll just have to entertain myself with the thought that “great minds think alike”…but then I realise too that “fools never differ”…

Vaughn, I’ve taken up a lot of room going off topic, hope you don’t mind; keep us posted on your project.

Have a great weekend all! :geek:
