I've heard about these, I think Jimi is rolling in his grave over these. If someone is going to do a tribute model then it needs to be historicaly accurate.

Last week, Gibson quietly announced the development of a line of guitars with Jimi Hendrix's sister Janie Hendrix, who manages the Authentic Hendrix brand. In Gibson's online story, they call the guitar, "an entirely new and unprecedented Jimi Hendrix guitar model designed by the Authentic Hendrix and Gibson."

Uhmm... So how how much $$$ does Authenticity cost these day's?

How can you have a signature Guitar when the Artist NEVER played that model????? Are things that bad for Gibson???? Maybe Fender could try a Lester Flatt Signature Jazzmaster!!!!

Well, Fender needs to produce the Maybelle Carter L5 historic model for about $300 a pop.

That will make things even.

I am typing this from my phone. Upon seeing the link that dorkroc posted I became so angry that I reigned blows down upon my monitor screen like a enraged mountain gorilla.
