OK, I'm going to give up my secret on how to master certain tunes note for note.

Ever hear a song that you wanted to learn a certain riff but it was simply too fast to grasp? The following link is to a software program that allows you to play a CD and excerpt a certain passage, then slow it down to any speed you want and hear it note for note and remain in pitch. It's great if you want to find the note Joe Maphis is playing lightning fast or hear those blues bends of B.B. King. I've had this program since '04 until recently getting a new computer with Windows Vista operating system, with which Slow Gold will not work. For those without Vista, Slow Gold can be downloaded for a free trial. Until I got a new computer, it was the best fifty bucks I ever spent. Try it, you will love it. Slow Gold

Some forum members (maybe Vista users) may want to consider 'Amazing Slow Downer' for similar tasks.

Amazing Slow Downer - is compatible with Vista

It's an amazing tool that would have been a god send when I first started playing - 1954. To bad I had to wait for 50 years :D

'Amazing Slow Downer' I just got it. Thanks! That's just what I wanted and it's virtually the same as Slow Gold but works with Vista. Yea! :D
