I figure as long as the guitar is complete I might as well post this photo which hasn't been posted. Shortly after I talked to Eugen about making the guitar I lost a dear friend and decided I should make it some sort of tribute to her. She was an artist who loved balloons and birds on wires. Originally we talked about putting a ballon on it but after looking at her artwork went with the bird theme. So here it is, birds straight from one of her pieces. We've recently dealt with a couple of losses here so I feel comfortable enough sharing this. I think it looks great and Jill would be honored. A beautiful girl and an amazing friend whose life was cut way too short.

Thanks! I felt subtle was the way to go. Her husband has seen the pics and loves it too.

Beautiful guitar - and a beautiful way to memorialize your friend. That's amazing work.

Wow, I'm glad Oi doesn't have a credit card machine in his shop. I woulda had a divorce on my hands right now...
Me and the missus just went to visit Oi in Haarlem where I fondled (it's a righty so playing was out) this guitar.
Gotta say Eltuce is a lucky guy. The first hollow Oi did is cool as all heck, this however...
I didn't wanna put it down. I had it upside down and tuned to Open G so I could noodle a couple country-esque fingerings, and despite the obvious limitations (to my leftoid persuasion) it felt as natural as my lefty GUN Mo' clone does. The sound unplugged is crystal clear, almost like a western guitar, though (obviously) not as loud, plugged into Oi's DeltaBlues it rings out sweet, never shrill, never too boomy. I know I'm biassed, but believe me, this is an amazing guitar.

just, wow...

That's it. I expect it overnighted so it's there when I get back from vacation tomorrow.
