Good job Sarah, …and pictures -of all sizes- just add to the value and enjoyment of this forum!
I’ve always been involved with solid bodies myself but having a hollow body too wouldn’t hurt! ;)

Nice instruments you have there, good luck with the Gretsch 5120 still on layaway

Nice collection - love those archtops. Never owned a Gretsch, ironically because Chet Atkins/Travis style playing is what I do most. I do have a Gibson 355 ('78) and a Charlie Christian (by Samick), and would love to have a Setzer model Gretsch - just too much $$$$ in this economy. What kind of music do you play?

Thank you. I love archtops as well. I just bought the Gretsch 5120 and have some modifications planned once I actually get it home. I am also a Danny Gatton fan. I play mostly Country, 50's and 80's Rock. Lately I've really been interested in Rockabilly so I'm totally focused on that. I am just beginning to learn Travis style picking which is a blast. I'll bet the Gibby is fun to play. My 1961 Guild has a single P90 pickup that I like playing country stuff on. I am very interested in getting a Mosrite Celebrity one of these days when finances are available. I heard one years ago and was totally impressed. I don't know much about the Mosrite solid body guitars, but that's certainly an option. I've been to St. Louis lots of times as I have family in Florissant and further south in Poplar Bluff, Cape Girardeau, and Dexter. Do you have any of your music online to listen to? Just wondering

I keep looking at the Combos, but I fgure that with the 355, it's about as good as it gets for that type of axe. Plays like butter - I've had it since 1978 - a guy I worked with and I used to play, and he decided it was too much for him, so I traded him a Telecaster for it .... One of the better deals I've made. As for Mosrites, I like the Ventures-styles - I think there has never been a more aesthetically beautiful guitar - the entire design all works so well together.

You'll have to give me a yell whenever you're in the area again ...

Dennis

Sarah,
That's a WIDE range from the 50s to the 80s  . I mean that's kewl, but, we
are talking anything from Rockabilly to Punk Rock...I admire you for that! ;) .

Actaullly, not 50's TO the 80's, it's 50's & 80's. I don't really do much from the 60's, 70's, 90's, 2000's when it comes to Rock. And from the 80's it would be Aerosmith, The Who, Springsteen, Bob Seger, etc. And of course there might be some late 80's or early 90's. Country on the other hand covers the gambit.
