Looks great!

Jk about 3-4 days. I don't do recover jobs other than as needed on my own projects.

No problem, just like to let people know what takes so long sometimes. BTW, it is almost always cheaper to buy a new cab than to restore one, just like a car. The 57 bassman I just finished had been covered with some weird black tolex, and was glued with some sort of epoxy! The tricky part is not removing any of the good patina/mojo while you restore them, that takes a lot more time.

Thanks for the compliment and photo tip!

Hey--

Thought you all might like to see the nice job Rocco did on re-Tolexing the head cabinet for my '66 Tremolux. He didn't have the materials to re-do the grill cloth, but he did straighten it for me.

Now I'm searching for a light-weight 4ohm speaker bottom that I can use when I don't feel like lugging the Tremolux in the combo cabinet, which weighs in the neighborhood of 45 pounds.

Thanks, Rocco!!!

That looks great! Are you going to go with a 2x10 cabinet? Those original enclosed cabinet sounds sooooo good! You could probably sell that combo cabinet on eBay and get a cabinet made to original specs without breaking the bank. I'd bet Rocco could build you one. ;)

Thanks, Danny! I'm not sure what I'm going to do at this point. Just kind of looking around. I agree about how nice those enclosed 2x10 cabinets sound, though.

For one thing, I have to wait for a bit so that my wife can cool down after she saw all these packages coming to the house recently!

Oh, does she hate guitars and amps!!! It is her favorite thing to complain about.
