That's true and on one of the albums I show, Gerry is playing a gold-top Lester. I think Terry is wantin' t'see an actual Gibson "Ventures Model". I don't believe such a thing exists. -Marty

Hey there,
I think it's just an acronym that I made the mistake with. I've noticed that LP on guitar forums usually referrers to Les Paul. Years ago everyone knew that LP meant "Long Playing" ;)

That's what I was figuring you were thinking. Indeed, this being a guitar forum, one would expect LP = Les Paul. I had just posted the mention of my LP/record videos on a Ventures forum and hadn't considered the new audience when reposting the info here.

Very cool, Bob. Thanks!

I'm still interested in an original vinyl too.

That Sundazed release is one of them fake live LPs recorded live in the studio with applause added. It's still a good record. Original live LPs from the '60's are currently available on Ebay.

Thanks Robbie! The collection proceeds to grow as The Ventures continue to record albums and ACE just put out a 5th volume of their "Ventures in the Vaults" series. It's got some great rarities on it.

Marty,
I just got the "In The Vaults 5" and some guitar picks from The Ventures website.
I'm loving the rare unreleased tracks on these.
