Showing off my collection of Mosrites

Postby Nokie » Thu Mar 31, 2011 11:56 pm

Hi Folks,
I've just updated my Ventures Virtual Shrine page and have updated the page of Ventures related guitars. I thought some of you might be interested in that it includes new and old Mosrites and a Mosrite amp. The link is http://www.planktones.com/PageGuitars.html I'm happy to say I've gig'd with most of these guitars. Check'r out!

Thanks Sarah, I should have mentioned that if you click on the individual guitar pictures you will get details (on most of 'em anyway). The Gretsch for instance is 6122 factory black.-MT

Thanks for the update Marty, I've had the pleasure of visiting your website before on a number of occasions -great stuff, thanks! Is that a Fender '57 Strat Reissue I see in your wonderful instrument family? I bought a new one in 2009 and find it's the best Strat I've ever owned/played.

Thank you Marty for pointing that out. I went back and read them all. I'm especially interested in the solid body 12 strings. I've been wanting a 12 string for a long time but haven't played a Mosrite. I played a Fender Strat 12 a while ago and was impressed. Did Mosrite make other 12 string solid bodies, other than the Ventures?

By the way, the last few pages did not load from you site.

GAS indeed! I didn't own a single Mosrite 10 years ago and had maybe 4 electric guitars, 2 acoustic guitars, a banjo and a bass. Then I became a major rock superstar and was able to build the collection. (Well actually the major rock superstar thing didn't work out very well but I did get a better day job). -Marty

Thanks for checking it out. The Strat I have pictured is a '56 Closet Classic. Those strats built to the 50's specs are my favorites as well.
