This is one of the best sites for accumulative historical information about Mosrite guitars. Every Mosrite aficionado is no doubt familiar with this site, but I will post it here for the 'new to Mosrite' members and easy access for 'old hats'.

Danny,No, I STILL didn't get the darn CAMERA! Tomorrow/Today is Mommy's Day and I had to do some mad last second shopping tonite since we did a gig this afternoon. I know, that's not an excuse, but it is!
But I saw your post on this, and thought you might find this amusing since Tym was asking me for pix about the same time you were a year ago on the other Forum. I had just gotten #0038 "Documented" for proof for insurance reasons when I had gotten this response back from Tymsguitars....

Hey Dennis,

I'd love to se some pics of your Mosrite.

I have a listing here of the "most" of the first 355 Mosrite Ventures sold.

The weird thing is , I have every other number in the 30's except 38 ?

I can tell you that 37 was sold FROM the factory on 2-10-64 to Gene's Music
centre and 39 was sold 4-20-64 to Horners music company.

There must have been the end of the run somewhere in there as there's over 8
weeks separating the two. Weather yours was in the earlier batch or the
later , I don't know.

Sorry I can't be more help.

See ya , Tim.

Hi Tim, I signed up on the Mosrite list awhile back and just noticed
recently that you came across info from Loretta, Andy, and ? about the early

Mosrites.
One of my Mosrites, which I listed w/U sometime back is a '63. It has the
OVERSIZED Ventures Logo
on the Headstock, Vibramute, Sidejack, Smooth Knobs (I think Uncle Semie
used to call them
"Jeweled Knobs", binding on the body, as well as the Glued in Neck. The
Serial Number on the last fret reads 0038. I always wandered where this
guitar might of originally been sold, or sold to. Again, the
S/N# is 0038. Can you possibly tell me anything about this little puppy???
THANX!!!! Dennis

I noticed that over a month ago. Tym has a new site now for whatever reason and I don't think it has the timeline. Kind of a shame, I also liked looking at his Mosrite collection on his old site. He had a lot of Mosrites - An original blue Ventures II Slab Body, A Brass Rail and an Acoustic, To name a few. Off the top of my head I don't recall if the acoustic he has/had is a Balladeer or a Serenade model.

I've wondered as well. Perhaps it's being revamped.

I saved a little bit of it in either pdf or MSWORD.

Thanks for the link! It works well, but loads slowly. I have saved it all in pdf format if anyone needs it.
