Hunting for a doubleneck

Postby StevieSTL » Tue Feb 03, 2015 11:43 am

Looking for a Mosrite or similar double neck. Prefer guitar and bass combination but will consider others. Please let me know if you have one. Thanks all!
The gangster looks so frightening, with his luger in his hand
When he gets home to his children, he's a family man
But when it comes to the nitty-gritty, he can shove in his knife
Yes he really looks quite religious, he's been an outlaw all his life

Guitar/bass is real hard to find in a Mosrite. You just missed this one: https://reverb.com/item/435639-mosrite- ... 3-sunburst

Yeah... I saw it on Gbase and tried to buy it but it had already sold, bummer. Thanks for the heads up.
Those guys we're cool to deal with though, I bought a Gruggett Velvet touch from them that is very similar to the guitar I got from you. It has a maple neck and checkered binding and the same long scale. It's headstock is different, like a strat/bottle opener, and it dates to 1992. They are both very special guitars and look lovely together. I'll get around to posting some pics one of these days.
Anyways, the hunt for a doubleneck continues...

Are you talking about Earl/Robbie/Elisha's Brass Rail?

I have one very serious doubleneck left:

No, I made an offer on it but didn't get it, it looked amazing.

The one I got is a 'Velvet Touch', here's a few pics of their pics. Better ones to come...

I've never seen that one before. Congrats! I dig it! I also have a Gruggett from the same era with that same wacky headstock design.

That is a nice looking guitar right there! Is that also a 26" scale? Might be sacrilege to say it here on the forums, but I enjoy playing these long scale Gruggetts more than my Mosrites. But then, I'd probably have never heard of Bill if I hadn't gotten into Mosrites...

Not sure on the Columbus show, if it was there it was in the possession of the Southside guys.

PS - Adam, one of these days I'm going to get a bunch of money together and come see you. Your guitars never cease to amaze me.
