Re: Wanna get me fuzzrite.
They seem to command quite a price on eBay, when the show up. A clone may be more palatable.
They are fuzzy, to be sure!

Re: Wanna get me fuzzrite.
I got a Fuzzrite a year or so ago from Andy Moseley. He has them on eBay once in a while.I think I paid around $250.00 or so . These are electronics from the 60's in a newer box from the 70's.Mine looks new!Andy even autographed it for me.I also have Fuzztone from 67 and a reissue Fuzztone from a few years back. As far as sound goes, the Fuzztones get the Satisfaction Stones sound and many others. To me the Fuzztone sounds a little looser and grainy compared to the Fuzzrite. The Fuzzrite can get that ( Green Acres ) tight fuzz sound with no problem. If your old enough to remember that show

Re: Wanna get me fuzzrite.
I forgot! I also tried the fuzzbrite. The sound is VERY close to a Fuzzrite. The problem I had with it was the build quility. The soldering job was so bad that even some of the wires had broken off of the connections before I got it.I ended up pulling all the wires out and redoing the whole thing over myself
I eMailed the guy and he acted like there was no way it could be like that. He made it sound like I don't know what I'm doing
....Well that was my bad experence others may have had no trouble.

Re: Wanna get me fuzzrite.
I'm quite satisfied with it and it does the job well, although the fuzz sound is not a main ingredient in my 'repertoire'. I have had no problems with it at all but perhaps quality is not constant in the clones by Ashbass. I notice the price has gone up considerably too; I paid $95,00 for mine a few years ago on ebay, straight from the builder.ImNotJohnnyRamone wrote:Hey Veenture, hows that clone?
For the going prices today and considering quality and cosmetics, I would go for the Fuzzrite version by "mahoney". Our Forum member "Imperial" builds 'em himself -calls his clone "BUZZ rite by mahoney":

BTW, Imperial's latest version has a pilot light -which I consider an improvement.
