Joe Maphis Doubleneck Clone for sale.

Postby Diggey » Mon Jun 25, 2012 5:09 pm

Up for sale is a Joe Maphis Doubleneck Clone built by Danny Ellison, sold to Mel Waldorf and then to me from Mel. I will include some pix now and add more as I get them uploaded. Please see the following link from Mosrite Guitars Forum where the guitar build was posted step by step.

I am really busy with work and school, so I will log on tonight or tomorrow and add more description to this post. I just wanted to get this up. I was trying to line the case but have not finished it. IT was repadded, and ready to glue. Nice, plush fluffy cloud to ride in.

I am firm on the price $3550 plus shipping and insurance. USA only, I do have paypal now, and would work out the fees with the buyer, and also several folks can be references. I've sold many guitars. I can meet if near Pittsburgh or Pennsylvania in general.

I have done layaways for several folks. Inquire.

Ha! It's a beautiful guitar and I thought long and hard before letting it go - both because it's so unusual and also because our own luthier extraordinaire DubTrub built it. In the end, I felt that such an amazing instrument deserved to be played far more often than I was playing it.

This guitar will always have special meaning to me, as I had the chance to play some duets with my daughter, who was seven at the time. She's bigger now and has graduated to a full scale neck. :)

As time has passed, this is one guitar I regret selling. Unfortunately I can't afford to buy my own built guitar back.

Diggey,
Do you still have the flip mute and "mistake" plate?
