More crazy gear - 65 Ampeg Gemini, JBL D140F

Postby MWaldorf » Mon Jul 04, 2011 8:38 pm

Gear gear gear!

First up, 1965 Ampeg Gemini I amplifier. $800 + shipping

Two channels, with vibrato and echo (aka reverb) on channel 1. Approximately 30 Watts. This amp was serviced about 4 years ago and has new caps and new Sovtek 7591 tubes. The speaker is a JBL D130 15" speaker which is not original to the amp. The amp came stock with a 12" Ampeg labelled speaker. The JBL is on a replacement baffle and I have the original 12" baffle, internal baffle and all the screws to attach them, so the amp can be put back to stock. I also have the original Ampeg speaker and a Celestion 12" speaker which is currently mounted on the original baffle, so you can choose what speaker complement you want.

Next up - JBL D-140F $175 + shipping
JBL D140F bass speaker, as used in Fender Showman and Dual Showman amps. Loud and proud! I'm not sure about the originality of the cone, but I've put new cable connectors on.
