1972(?) Mosrite Avenger - $850 shipped

I would like to keep this, but I am now knee-deep in a freaking Fender Princeton hot-rodding project and I need some funds. Whyyyyyy do we do these things?
This is a really sweet guitar - a much better player then my recent Excellent-made Ventures model, with really fast frets and a slightly thicker neck. I am told it's a '72 but I don't know how they would know that for sure since there is no serial number to be found. Maybe the pots? Haven't checked for myself.
The finish is a see-through cherry red, though it looks more brown in the photos (it's NOT brown!)
There is a little wear (some chips) where the forearm would sit, and the knob doesn't quite fit on the volume pot for some reason. Only bothersome if you lean over or turn the guitar upside down. I'm guessing it's a replacement pot. No trem arm unfortunately.
I am asking $850 shipped or best offer on this one. I will consider trade offers too! It will come to you in a brand new Fender gig bag.
