new Mosrite tube amp for sale

Postby mosritetexas » Wed Jul 21, 2010 10:15 am

Well , Mosrite of Japan isn't going to go into production with the Boutique tube amp.... too expensive to produce. I made several suggestions on how to sell them but, no go. So I want to sell it to the forum members first. It can be heard on the thread of new Mosrite amp or look up my threads at Mosritetexas. Any interest email me. or PM me. This is the only one that has the Mosrite name on it OKed by Japan. It is quality made from top to bottom. Artie at Front porch music played it and liked it. Rick Derringer played it and said it sounded like his Dumble clone. I am retired and would like to sell it. Told Semi several years ago that I would only sell after I retire and he thought it was a okay idea. Cant collect forever. But he always said "Mosrite for ever". The asking price is $1750. I don't need any amp building advice but will give any info to serious buyers.
Soon I am going to be selling a Joe Maphis double neck project and two matched 12 string and 6 string red celebrity's. I have collected so much Mosrite stuff its time to let go.

That looks like a neat little amp! Eons ago, about 1963, I put together a guitar amp using a very old juke-box amp complete with the electromagnetic speaker...took over an hour to warm right up, but oh...the sound! It finally warmed up a little too much, complete with lots of blue smoke. I haven't found that sound anywhere since, not even close. Any ideas how to duplicate that kind of equipment?
