Rare '76 Mosrite Bluesbender - $1800

Used RARE '76 MOSRITE "BluesBender" in very good condition. Jammed on and signed in two spots by VENTURES lead guitarist NOKIE EDWARDS back in the mid-80's. One signature is behind the headstock (significantly faded), and the other is underneath the back pad, safe from the elements.
This guitar just plain rocks. I hate to sell it, with it's "Nokie Mojo", but with the economy the way it is..

Cool bits:
*Low Serial Number: NO196
*Black finish w/ tortoise-shell pick guard
*Low Serial Number
*Hardly been played.. Just sat in the case for years.
*Bolt-on neck
*Neck is straight as an arrow, Incredible action, Bound neck, Zero fret, with 22 fret neck.
*Two powerful Mosrite Humbucking pick-ups w/ one push-button coil-splitter.
*ALL ORIGINAL PARTS.
*ORIGINAL square hard-shell case included.

Not-so-cool bits:
*Over the past 34 years, the finish has since chequed some.
*The hard-shell case had been stenciled with a band's name in '77.
*Factory neck pocket was cut a little wide then excess space filled after factory neck was bolted on. Totally stable, strong and original factory finish

If you have any question about the guitar, or International shipping, please feel free to contact me.
Thank You

wow......are you sure you have to sell it? Maybe get a 2nd, or 3rd job instead? ...I bought a brand new Ventures model Mosrite back in about 1964, and foolishly traded it in for something that I don't even have anymore....and would do almost anything to get it back if I could....
It looks like a sweeeeet guitar, and especially with Nokie's signature on it.....
I hope you don't have to sell it...........

Roger

That serial number is actually high for Bluesbenders, making it probably one of the last ones made circa 1974 (not '76).

Thankx for the input! Sounds like you know a lot about these guitars! Where did you get your information? I'm just going by what the previous owner told me :) I'm going to change my ad based on your info.

Well, first off, the Bluesbender was only in production from 1972-1974. Secondly, it's estimated that roughly 200 of these were made, so with a serial number of 196 you do the math. Lastly, only the later models turn up with the Acoustic Black Widow style back pad.

Is the body of yours wood or foam resin? How about pics of the actual guitar?

Do include one or two showing Nokie's signature(s) while you're at it :geek:
