For Sale: Mosrite of Classics?

Postby Richard » Tue Aug 23, 2011 7:41 pm

Hey guys, the last time I posted here was when I scored a pearl white Fillmore "Mosrite of Classics" at a pawn shop. Unfortunately, I have to sell it. I plan on getting another Mosrite in more prosperous times.

I want to avoid eBay and I want to make sure that what I ask for the guitar is reasonable. It's in good shape, no body or neck dings; there are two things that aren't original. One is the pickups, which were originally some kind of P-90's. I replaced them with a set of Hallmark pickups, which were a vast improvement. The original pickguard did not fit with the new pickups, so a new one was cut for it. The pickup installation and pickguard (red tort) were both done by another forum member, mikethemod, who lives near me. I've gigged with the guitar a few times and love it, but of all my guitars this one is the most valuable and also, as weird as this may sound, the most easily replaceable.

I've gotten a lot of compliments on the guitar and thumbs up from older guys who've owned original Mosrites. It's a hard thing to part with. I'll try to have pics posted soon. Any and all opinions are welcome. Thanks a lot.

Finally, some pics.

Sorry for only posting a link, but I'm running out the door. I will try to figure out how to embed photos in the thread later.

Please place a value on your guitar and then we'll move this topic to the classified section. Members here can't tell you what your item is worth. That's your decision. Also the link to your photos isn't working.

Thanks, Mel!

Also, as with most things, price and terms are negotiable. I welcome anyone to make an offer or request additional pics and info.
